About the Stroll
The Fernwood Art Stroll was formed in 2007 by local artists and artisans to invite the public into their studios and view their work.
Fernwood is a neighbourhood that is culturally diverse, with distinctive heritage architecture and a rich part of Victoria’s history.
The Art Stroll is a chance to visit with artists and artisans in their homes, studios and gardens at no cost.
The stroll, which normally takes place in June, had to be cancelled in 2020 due to Covid. This year, as restrictions ease, we are all very excited to be planning a September Art Stroll!
Many artists will be displaying their works out of doors (a bonus garden tour as you view great artwork). Artist’s may ask you to wear a mask, especially if they are inviting you inside their studios. Please have a mask with you, just in case, and be prepared to wait outdoors if there are too many people ahead of you.
Take a leisurely stroll along the tree-lined streets of Fernwood and enjoy refreshments at our wonderful cafes, famous bistros and landmark pub.
Many of the participating studios are open year-round by appointment.
